24 weeks

Well, it has taken me 24 weeks to take a picture of my growing belly. I have meant to do it all along and it just never seemed to happen. Oh well, better late than never, right? Here he is at 24 weeks (I sure wish I had x-ray vision!)

Hide and Go Seek

Last night it was raining so Paris could not go outside. Stuck inside we had to figure out some way to help her burn off her energy, so we decided to play one of her favorite games - Hide and go seek. I know it sounds strange, but yes, our dog plays hide and seek with us! I hold her and count to ten, while Daddy goes and hides somewhere, and then she runs around searching until she finds him. Since she seems to only know how to play when Daddy hides, he never gets to see how cute she is when she runs around trying to find him, so last night I video taped her. I love this video and wanted to share it for several reasons.

1. Playing this game makes Paris so happy, and you can see it all over her face. Pure Joy!
2. I am just amazed by how smart she is every time we play. She looks in all of Daddy's hiding places until she finds him. It makes my heart swell how smart she is.
Enjoy!
(Please disregard the messy house:-)

Nursery Theme

We have chosen to go with a jungle/safari animal theme for the nursery. The walls in the nursery are light green, and I love animals, so I thought this would be a perfect fit. I bought the main bedding set already, and then registered for all of the coordinating accessories at Babies-R-Us. I have also found a few cute things at JC Penny, but their registry is not currently working. Hopefully, I will be able to create one there in the next few days. I am not going to register for clothes, because I think people are going to just get what they think is cute anyway, but I will register for the big items and the theme items. We have already purchased the crib and the changing table too. That is supposed to arrive by 10/15. I am VERY excited to receive the crib, so that I can really start to set things up and begin to make the room look like a nursery. There are only 4 months left until the little guy arrives, and that seems like such a short time to get everything ready (especially with the holidays between now and then).

Here is a picture of the nursery theme:
